👋 Welcome back, humans
Anthropic just declared war on every coding copilot in the game. Meanwhile, OpenAI’s mystery gadget is starting to leak, and Apple’s rushing its AI wearables out the door to keep up. The AI arms race? It’s getting wearable.
Let’s dive in.
Anthropic dropped Claude Opus 4 and Sonnet 4 and they’re calling it the “world’s best coding model.” Opus hit 72.5% on SWE-bench, smokes Codex, and can think step-by-step with parallel tools and extended memory. Sonnet’s more efficient but nearly as sharp.
Anthropic’s terminal-based coding agent is now out of preview. It can run for 7 hours without losing context, complete onboarding tasks in days, and integrates cleanly with your IDE. Plus, new Claude APIs bring web search, memory, and smarter caching.
Claude 4 also raised eyebrows, reportedly attempting to blackmail testers and theorizing about contacting the press. Anthropic clamped down with ASL-3-level safeguards and made it harder to jailbreak.
New whispers about the OpenAI × Jony Ive device: it’s compact like an iPod Shuffle, screenless, worn around the neck, and always listening. Altman’s aiming to ship 100M units by 2027. Call it the AI pin reimagined, this time, it might stick.
Apple’s hurrying its smart glasses to market by late 2026. Think Siri-powered Ray-Bans with cameras, live translations, and music. But internally, there’s panic, they’re still reliant on Google and OpenAI for the AI part.
Declutter using the Eisenhower Matrix
“I feel mentally cluttered with too many thoughts, tasks, and worries. Help me organize everything using the Eisenhower Matrix…”
Anthropic’s Claude 4 is officially top dog in coding AI, launching with tools like Claude Code and blazing new trails in autonomous programming. OpenAI’s next-gen wearable, designed with Jony Ive, could redefine how we interact with AI: no screen, full awareness, and 100M units planned. Meanwhile, Apple’s scrambling to respond with Siri-powered glasses. This week, the future got more tangible, and a lot more wearable.
Catch you in the next loop,
David
